The first bowl is hand turned Red Oak and finished with mineral oil. To explore different manufacturing processes, I decided to make more. Using a 3D scanner, the profile of the bowl was generated and a 3D model was created. The bowl was then 3D printed out of ABS. A third vesion of the bowl was made from urethane resin in a mold created from the original bowl. I am currently making one from carbon fiber and plan to make more using additional processes.
